About Us
ProSolar is a family-owned solar PV installation company based in Kenmare, County Kerry, proudly serving homes, farms, and businesses across Munster and beyond.
Who We Are
Our Company
ProSolar is an engineer-led solar PV company and part of the RVR Energy Technology Group – a family business with over 40 years in energy technology.
We’ve completed over 1,000 installations across homes, farms, and businesses throughout Ireland. Every project is treated as its own problem to solve – the solution designed around the customer’s situation, drawing on our vast in-house experience in solar energy.
Not all solar systems are equal. We’ve tested what’s available, we know what performs in Irish conditions and what doesn’t, and we specify accordingly. The goal is always a system that works reliably, year after year, with minimal intervention.
Larger and more complex projects bring their own engineering challenges – ones we actively enjoy. The same thinking applies whatever the scale.
We’d rather explain than sell. We deliver an Engineers Ireland-accredited CPD on Solar PV to engineers around the country, and we speak to community groups about green energy – because a better-informed industry benefits everyone. Our customers get the same approach: understand the situation first, recommend the right solution second.
Solar is one part of a broader energy picture. Through the RVR Energy Technology Group, we also work with RVR Energy Technology for heating and cooling, and Gridvolt – our smart energy management platform that gives customers genuine control over their electricity use and readies them for dynamic pricing and grid energy trading.
Energy technology is changing fast. We intend to stay ahead of it.

Pro Solar installed a complete system for us.
Team No 1 arrived and installed 21 PV batteries on the South facing .
Team 2 arrived two days later and wired the installation.
Team 3 arrived and installed the batteries and connected up the final pieces of equipment . They also commissioned the system and left it in full working order.
We were so satisfied and delighted with the neatness and bonhomie and helpful staff from Pro Solar at all times .
Their office staff helped us fill out the paperwork etc.
Many thanks

Highly Recommend Prosolar
Having got quotes and input from other installers we were very happy to decide on Prosolar to fit our solar panels. From the initial visit by Tagdh to the roof work and the electrical work we were very impressed. Every one on the team was genuinely interested in our home and what was best for us. The work was done efficiently and with no clean up afterwards. Staff on the admin side were always prompt with information and answers to queries. They did the paper work side and helped with grant application too. Its lovely to see that we are already sending electricity back to the grid even in november. We would recommend Prosolar without hesitation.
