Commercial Solar Panels in Co. Tipperary

Cut your business electricity costs with the SEAI grant, now doubled until 6 July 2027 — designed, installed and grid-approved by our own crews

Large commercial rooftop solar PV installation by ProSolar

ProSolar installs commercial solar PV across Co. Tipperary, with a team member based in Clonmel. From Golden Vale agri-processing to town-centre retail, Tipperary businesses with daytime electricity loads are exactly who the SEAI’s Non-Domestic grant — now doubled until 6 July 2027 — was designed for.

Proven One County Over

One of our flagship commercial projects is just down the road in Waterford: the 276-panel, 116 kWp system at Sun Life’s Waterford offices — a project that involved airport glint-and-glare planning, a 100 kW inverter and full ESB Networks approval, which has already fully paid back its investment and generated over 350,000 units of electricity to date. The same team designs and installs across Tipperary.

The SEAI Business Solar Grant: Doubled Until 6 July 2027

The SEAI Non-Domestic Microgen Grant funds solar PV for businesses, farms, schools, sports clubs and community organisations. The building must have been built and occupied before 2025, and unlike home grants there is no BER requirement after the works. ProSolar is a registered installer and we prepare the full application for you.

Grant doubled, 7 October 2026 to 6 July 2027: SEAI has doubled the grant table for new applications made in this window, raising the maximum from €162,600 to €325,200. Works can’t start before SEAI’s letter of offer. Read the doubled-grant guide →

273 daysleft to apply for the doubled SEAI grant — applications close 6 July 2027Get in touch today

Our advice: get in touch today, and don’t delay. The doubled grant is only for applications made by 6 July 2027. We expect a rush of late applications before the deadline, and every one of those systems will need ESB Networks permission to connect, which can take months. SEAI grant offers are valid for eight months, so we expect offers made before the deadline to stay valid for up to eight months after it — but to avoid disappointment and guarantee a quality, supported installation with the doubled grant, get your application in well before July.

The doubled SEAI grant table, for applications from 7 October 2026 to 6 July 2027:

System sizeGrant
Up to 6 kWp€1,800 at 1 kWp, €3,600 at 2 kWp, €4,200 at 3 kWp, €4,800 at 4–6 kWp
7 – 20 kWp+ €600 per additional kWp — €13,200 at 20 kWp
21 – 200 kWp+ €400 per additional kWp — €45,200 at 100 kWp, €85,200 at 200 kWp
201 – 1,000 kWp+ €300 per additional kWp — up to the €325,200 maximum

That is double the old table (€6,600 at 20 kWp, €22,600 at 100 kWp, €162,600 maximum). Existing grant offers are not increased: the doubled rates are for new applications only.

Solar equipment also qualifies for the Accelerated Capital Allowance — the full cost can be written off against corporation tax in year one. Between the grant, the ACA and current electricity prices, completed ProSolar commercial projects have paid for themselves in as little as 3–4 years.

Commercial Solar Is an Engineering Job — and We Treat It Like One

  • Design & modelling — roof survey, structural and layout design, generation modelling against your actual consumption profile
  • Planning & compliance — planning applications where required, including specialist studies (we managed a full glint-and-glare analysis near Waterford Airport)
  • Grid process handled — ESB Networks applications, G10/G99 protection relays, witness testing, export or non-export configurations
  • Safety as standard — firefighter safety switches, full monitoring, generation curtailment where export is not permitted
  • Our own crews — no subcontractors; the team that designs your system installs it
